About Ferm

Ferman Carrillo, a self-taught, award winning photographer resides in O'Fallon, Missouri.

Fire Truck Parade

His first photographs were often of collages using animal bones. He sees something interesting in the arrangement of objects in nature and creates unusual images that bring different impressions to the onlooker. His uncommon ideas emerge from each photograph. There is always something to talk about as these photographs and Ferman will entice your imagination.

Unlike many artists, Ferman has been self-taught through his natural eye for things that perk his interest. He never goes anywhere without a Nikon camera at his side. Ferman believes and states, "You never know what you might see out there in the World."

Lion Head Door Knocker Collage

He is very serious about his work. Much of his time is spent in creating collages in the comfort of his own home. Whether he is arranging a ceramic mask, plants, religious crosses or any other variety of items, he places his creative energy into each picture.

Awards that he achieved were an Honorable Mention and Second Place in the St. Louis Post Dispatch as well as photo contests locally.

The highlight of his photographic adventures is that his family is able to be a part of any outings to take photographs. These outings range from ice storms, to major league baseball games, the change of the seasons, or a vacation to the beautiful Pacific Northwest and Alaska.
